At Kinver Garden Day Nursery, we strive to provide a happy, welcoming home from home environment, whilst also encouraging the children to develop their own independence and confidence whilst in the knowledge that they will be supported by our dedicated team of highly experienced staff and new apprentices.
We are introducing more of a curiosity approach to the nursery providing the children with an "open book" approach to their learning. There are many opportunities for imaginative play and prompts to help the children think for themselves.
There is a rich, stimulating environment and the curriculum helps to develop purposeful play and has clear learning intentions for all children.
Using our forest school sessions, we aim to provide children of varying ages the chance to learn about the natural world around them whilst experiencing the feeling of freedom being in the outside world.
We want to see the nursery continue to provide an excellent standard of care for our children, fantastic learning and development opportunities for our staff and to continually build on our communication with and consideration of parents, carers and our community.
All of this whilst remembering that the children are the reason behind all that we do and their happiness, progression and wellbeing is paramount.

“Partnerships with parents are strong. Parents are regularly consulted about their views and their suggestions acted upon to help to adapt the good service offered.”
“Staff place a clear priority on supporting children’s personal, social and emotional development. They provide a nurturing approach, know children well and help children to learn about the codes of behaviour in place.”
Lucy has extensive experience in child care having worked in day nurseries, holiday clubs, after school clubs in addition to being a registered child minder. She works within the nursery to oversee all day to day practice. Lucy is passionate about children and has dreamt of owning her own nursery since she was at school. She “loves her job” and brings enthusiasm, creativity, fun and passion to the nursery. We have yet to find a child who doesn’t respond to her natural ability to engage with children.
Our staff team are also well qualified, competent, friendly, flexible and responsive to parent’s needs. They have a range of skills, knowledge and experience and there is a nice balance of ages. Many of our staff live in the village and it really feels like we are a large family with staff supporting not only the children but each other too.
Your child will be allocated a key worker when they first start at the nursery. They will get to know your child very well and will be responsible for ensuring that communication is ongoing with you. They will be your first point of contact and will arrange regular meetings with you to discuss your child’s progress and share their “learning journey” with you.
You will be asked to provide us with relevant information to enable your child to settle in quickly.
